The country’s stock market closed strongly on the fifth and last day of the trading week (May 07, Friday). During this time, both the Sensex and the Nifty closed on the green mark. The 30-share Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index Sensex closed up 49.76 points, up 256.71 points, or 0.52 per cent, at 49.206.47.
On the other hand, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) 50-share sensitive index Nifty closed at 14,823.15 with a gain of 98.35 points, or 0.67 per cent.

Today, shares of SBI Life, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Adani Ports and Hindalco closed on the green mark. On the other hand, Tata Consumer, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors and UPL shares closed on the red mark.
Talk about sectoral index, so today pharma remained flat and PSU bank declined. Apart from these, all sectors closed on the green mark. These include private banks, realty, IT, FMCG, metals, auto, pharma, media, banks and finance services.
