The country’s stock market opened on the fifth and last day of the trading week (May 07, Friday) with positive global cues. During this time, both the Sensex and the Nifty opened on the green mark. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex, based on 30 stocks, opened at 49287.90, a gain of 338.14 points, or 0.69 per cent.

On the other hand, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty, based on 50 stocks, opened at 14831.40 with a jump of 106.60 points, or 0.72 per cent.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Dr. Reddy, SBI, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Maruti, NTPC, Axis Bank, Titan, Sun Pharma, Reliance, Bajaj Finserv, ICICI Bank, ONGC, ITC, HCL Tech, Bharti Airtel and HDFC during initial trading Shares opened on green mark.

At the same time, shares of Infosys, Tech, Mahindra, Power Grid, Nestle India and Bajaj Auto opened on the red mark. Today a total of 1155 shares gained, 272 stocks declined, while there was no change in 63 stocks.

The Sensex was up 184.58 points (0.38 per cent) at 49134.34 level at 9.04 am. At the same time, the Nifty was up 76.10 points (0.52 per cent) at 14800.90 level.
